Exploring New Horizons with Indo-Croatian Chamber of Commerce

On March 26, 2024, I had the privilege of attending the Indo-Croatian Trade & Investment Forum hosted at Novotel, Chandigarh, organized by the Indo-Croatian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with TBSC Overseas Consulting and Hazel International.

As the Founder of Akki Studios, being part of this prestigious event was a unique opportunity to engage with international delegates, industry leaders, and visionaries from both India and Croatia. The event brought together influential names across sectors like agriculture, real estate, medical tourism, and technology, with a shared goal—to explore strategic collaboration between the two nations.

A Truly Global Exchange

The event featured a remarkable delegation from Croatia, including:

  • Vedran Soric, CEO, Sorbel Group
  • Davor and Drazen Simicevic, of Varionica Brewery
  • Ognjen Bagatin, Futura Medical
  • Natalia Zielinska, Euro Grant Consulting
  • Paul Bradbury, Total Croatian News
  • …and many others who are actively shaping Croatia’s global business narrative.

I also had the chance to interact with several Indian dignitaries and business pioneers—including Mr. Dixit Sharma, Honorary Consul Guneet Chaudhary, and Dr. Harinder Singh—each contributing powerful insights about the potential for Indo-Croatian partnerships.

Personal Highlights

What made this event especially meaningful for me:

  • Deep Networking: I had a series of engaging conversations with Croatian delegates about India’s evolving design and digital landscape. Many were intrigued by how Akki Studios has supported global clients across branding, digital transformation, and UI/UX innovation.
  • Cross-Border Curiosity: There was immense curiosity around how Indian design firms like ours can help Croatian startups and SMEs position themselves better in global markets. This opened up potential collaboration discussions for European projects.
  • Real Alignment: It was energizing to witness a genuine intent from both sides to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. I was especially inspired by talks around leveraging Croatia as a gateway to the European Union for Indian entrepreneurs.

Why This Event Mattered to Me

For Akki Studios—headquartered in India but serving clients across 45+ countries—this forum was more than just a networking event. It reinforced how global ambition starts with local action and how dialogues like these create the bedrock for future collaborations.

Whether it was exchanging business cards, discussing projects, or laughing about cultural similarities with Croatian peers – it was full of authentic connections, insightful learnings, and new possibilities. Indian design firms like ours can help Croatian startups and SMEs position themselves better in global markets. This opened up potential collaboration discussions for European projects.
